- Content Studio all version
Type: Bug
Symptoms
A picture has been deleted but still displays on the web site. The same is
true for uploaded files that are linked to on a website - they can still be
downloaded and thus accessable.
Cause
This problem is caused by a bug in Content Studio that does not remove the
file in the underlying file system when the document is thrown in the recycle
bin.
Resolution
Remove the deleted document from the recycle bin, this will cause the
physical file to be removed permanently.
Status
This problem has been fixed in Content Studio version 4.0 build
1005
More information
Build 1005 will empty all physical files including the thumbnail or highres
version of a picture that uses the image processing functionality. The files
will not be removed, only made empty and a side effect of this is that when the
file is an downloadable document ex. .DOC or .PDF the downloaded document will
appear completly empty to the consumer. Ordinary Content Studio documents will
be filled with the default empty content. When the document is restored the
files will be written back again. However, the latter is not true for
ordinary documents that must be approved before any file is
written.
